Isner won his first match to take the lead for the US at the POWER
HORSE WORLD TEAM CUP. In the second singles match of the tie, which
was scheduled earlier, the US-player ranked No. 39 defeated the
Swedish up-and-coming player, Christian Lindell, in straight sets
6-4, 6-1 on the Centre Court II at the Rochusclub in Dusseldorf. The
first singles match will be played between Sam Querrey from the US
and the Swedish player, Robin Soderling, ranked No. 5.
Isner served a total of six aces in his match against Lindell and convincingly won by playing aggressively and attacking from the net. The final match of the tie between USA and Sweden will be the last match on Centre Court II.
